Bugatti has revealed the second car in the Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix trilogy, featuring a distinctive Blanc White paint job with Grand Prix Red accents and various black elements. This particular model is set to be delivered to a customer in Singapore. Launched in 2021 alongside the nostalgic sky-blue Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix, as part of Bugatti's Sur Mesure personalization program, paying homage to the brand's heritage.
The French automaker announced that only two more Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix cars will be produced to complete this exclusive trilogy. Recently, the second car of this limited series has been unveiled. The Blanc White dominates the color scheme, complemented by a red-black tone that emphasizes the sporty nature on various parts of the car.
The prominent Grand Prix Red stands out in the paint patterns on the front of the car, extending from the windshield to the front headlights. This red color gradually transitions from a solid block to a dotted pattern, eventually forming the "EB" symbol (abbreviation for the founder Ettore Bugatti) and gradually transitioning back to black. A similar design is replicated on the rear of the car and the large aerodynamic wing.
The number "32" on the car door is hand-painted with Grand Prix Red, paying tribute to the Bugatti Type 51 racing car that won the 1931 Grand Prix in France with drivers Louis Chiron and Achille Varzi. Additionally, carbon fiber components also feature the two-tone red and black, enhancing the car's allure.
The interior cabin is wrapped in black Alcantara leather with meticulous "EB" red patterns adorning the door panels. These patterns are exclusively designed and finished by the Bugatti Sur Mesure team. The specially crafted central control panel is embossed with black aluminum, with the "Grand Prix" lettering hand-painted in silver. Interior patterns are also adorned on the door sill, headrest, and interior lighting.
The engine of these special Grand Prix editions is not different from the standard Chiron Pur Sport. The car is equipped with the W16 engine, 8.0L in displacement, featuring four turbochargers, delivering 1,479 horsepower and a peak torque of 1,599 Nm.
However, compared to the regular Chiron Pur Sport, the Grand Prix editions undergo special tuning to reduce weight by 50 kg, possess a firmer suspension system for increased stability at high speeds, and optimize the gearbox ratio to shorten the time needed for acceleration to the maximum speed.
